The study programme includes practical training in:

• Clinical trial organization from the sponsor, CRO and site side,
• Workshop of the job of a clinical trial coordinator at the sponsor company, CRO and clinical trial site,
• Specifics of the monitor's work during simulated site visits and activities performed at the sponsor company, CRO or remotely,
• Participate in project and risk management in clinical trials,
• Preparing the sponsor company, CRO and site for an audit and participating in a sham audit,
• Specifics of non-commercial clinical trials,
• Principles and differences between medical device and drug product clinical trials,
• Practical English used in clinical trials, e.g. videoconferencing with the trial team,
• Good Clinical Practice, receiving a GCP certificate valid for 3 years.

Graduates will acquire a range of practical skills related to the conduct of clinical trials, collection, completion and verification of trial documentation in accordance with current legal standards, as well as efficient communication with the trial team.

Schedule

The course consists of 10 didactic sessions and 1 credit session. A total of 180 teaching hours.

Study Description:

The first postgraduate programme in clinical research based on the participant gaining practical skills in coordinating and monitoring a clinical trial in accordance with current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles.

The study is based on the use of modern and practical exercise methods allowing to apply the acquired knowledge in real life situations. Participants will take part, among others, in workshops with survey documentation, simulations of a monitor's visit to a facility, videoconferences in English, exercises on coordinating a survey or a simulated audit and preparation for it.

A prerequisite for graduation from the postgraduate programme is attendance at classes, passing all examinations provided for in the programme and obtaining the required credits.

According to the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 12 March 2009 on the specific qualifications required from teachers and determining schools and accidents in which teachers without a higher education degree or completed teacher training establishment can be employed, a person who has completed postgraduate studies in teaching a subject or conducted classes is qualified to occupy the position of a teacher / teacher of practical vocational training.

The two-semester postgraduate course "Herbal Therapy" is designed for people who want to improve their knowledge of medicinal plants, their content of biologically active compounds and the possibility of using plant raw materials, as well as their storage and processing.

Who can study?

Postgraduate studies "Herbal Therapy" are addressed to graduates of Bachelor's, Engineer's, Master's studies, people interested in gaining knowledge and skills in conducting herbal therapy and people involved in herbal medicine as a hobby.

Graduates will have knowledge about herbal plants in terms of composition of bioactive compounds, their pharmacological effects, potential side effects. Graduates will also acquire skills of practical application of herbs, learning the secrets of traditional herbalism and ways of preparing herbal preparations. The programme of studies includes 385 hours of didactic classes, including laboratory classes, practical exercises and fieldwork.
